I fought, I escaped

Kept running until I got you

I hear the angels cry above

time for this old man to bury the glory days

I ain’t gonna hold you tight

Or kiss you whole day

That is your mother’s way

I will let you go

but keep my eyes on you

bumping on the way to find yourself

in my heart I have but one desire

may honesty, fairness and ambition always be with you

I’d dare to hope

You’d be your father's fan

Neither I could understand mine

losing the blues and follow your heart

some day the sun will shine

when you hold your son

feeling the whole world in your hands

and you decide to turn your back around
